Basic Boat SYSTEMS:

Basic Boat *Bronze*. This includes oars, oarlocks, four oarlock sockets and adjustable middle seat (for two rowing positions), grab-lines, bridle, built-in compass, wheel, drain plug for self-draining, reflective strips, and more (see Part #PP-BB, below). 

Basic Boat *Silver*. All components of basic boat, plus pump, boarding ladder/fender, bow bumper, and basic boat cover.

Basic Boat *Gold*.  All components of basic boat, plus pump, boarding ladder/fender, bow bumper, basic boat cover, AND  lifting eyes, electrical system, and solar panel.

Sailboat *Bronze*. All components of basic boat plus sail kit.

Sailboat *Silver*. All components of basic boat,  plus sail kit, AND boarding ladder/fender, pump.

Lifeboat *Bronze*. All components of basic boat,  plus exposure canopy, pump, basic boat cover, sea anchor, and boarding ladder/fender

Lifeboat *Silver*. All components of basic boat,  plus exposure canopy, pump, basic boat cover, sea anchor, boarding ladder/fender, AND safety harness/lifting eyes, and sail kit.

Lifeboat *Gold*. All components of basic boat,  plus exposure canopy, pump, basic boat cover, sea anchor, boarding ladder/fender, safety harness/lifting eyes, sail kit, AND electrical system and solar panel.

Lifeboat *Platinum*. All components of basic boat,  plus exposure canopy, pump, basic boat cover, sea anchor, ,boarding ladder/fender, safety harness/lifting eyes, sail kit,  electrical system, solar panel, AND davit harness or Weaver davits, and bow bumper.

BOAT AND ACCESSORY DETAILS AND PRICES: The Portland Pudgy has many more options. You can customize your order as you choose, adding or substituting options from the list below.  Prices subject to change.

Basic Boat $2,595. Part #PP-BB.  92” long x 53”wide. USCG approved 4 persons (available in soft white, sunset yellow, red, medium blue, charcoal black, dark green). Note that colors on website may vary from actual boat color, depending on your computer monitor. Basic boat includes:

·   Two 6’-6” collapsible aluminum oars with retaining sleeves and collars ($128 value)

·   Richie compass standard (optional electrical system will illuminate compass)

·   Towing bridle harness (secures to two stainless steel eyes with backer disk for towing, lifting, or sea anchor).

·   Self-bailing with tethered drain plug (boat weight plus 25 lbs.)

·   Hand-holds in keel for righting boat (which comes up empty of water after capsize)

·   Three seats with hand holds (middle seat adjusts to two rowing positions for extra space and load/ballast adjustments; seat uses stainless steel pin hinges)

·   Five storage/access hatches w/gaskets (6.4” inside diameter. All accessory equipment, sailing rig, oars, exposure canopy, sea anchor, etc. fit through the access hatches)

·   Four reinforced through-holes fore and aft (used for tie-down, for securing fender/boarding ladder, and for use with an anti-theft, locking security cable)

·   Four stainless steel oarlock sockets (for use with adjustable middle seat) and two stainless steel oarlocks (with locking system which secures oars to boat)

·   Double roller wheels (allows one person to roll the boat on dock or landing ramp)

·   Grab lines (four)

·   SOLAS approved reflective strips (three)

·   Motor mount and aluminum retaining plate (removable) for long shaft 2HP motors (short shaft motor mount available for use with narrow motor housing small two-cycle engines  $32)

Sailing System $1,195.  Part #PP-SR.  Stores inside boat through transom access hatch. Gaff rig.  Includes:    

·   Telescoping (aluminum) 8-foot mast, two position with push-button release

·   Gaff (aluminum)

·   Telescoping boom with yoke and out-haul jamb cleat

·   Sail, 4.5 oz Dacron, high performance. Reefs up when used w/ exposure canopy, creating unique proactive life boat. Reefs down if sailing in strong winds

·   Kick-up rudder (three-position), rudder post (stores under rear seat), and aluminum tiller with stainless steel rudder/tiller connector and soft foam hand grip

·   Gudgeons with pintle-lock mounted on transom

·   Rigging lines, Harken carbo blocks, and traveler line with jamb cleat (mounted on Pudgy)

·   Two leeboards (standard or performance, same price).  Standard store under rear seat, recommended for survival system. Performance lee-boards (35” long) store under middle seat.

·   Storage bag for sail, mast, gaff, and boom

·   Installation of sailing rig hardware when purchased with boat.

Sail with large orange panel (optional, instead of all white)  $65 .            

Replacement Lee-Boards $108.  Part #PP-LBS (standard) or PP-LBL (long). Same price.

Exposure Canopy $1,895.  Part #PP-EC.  Transforms boat into four-person, hard bottom, unsinkable, proactive life boat (when used with sailing rig or oars).  Self-rights empty boat.  Stores inside Pudgy or is pre-set on gunwales (if used in preset position requires boat cover).  Includes:

·   Three-section canopy (with 6” dia. flotation tubes around entire gunwale and two 6” diameter support arches)  Adds 430 lbs of flotation.

·   Bow and stern tubes inflate by two CO2 cylinders (in 17 seconds) or by hand pump 

·   Zip in middle section (with two 6”dia. flotation pods orally-inflated)

·   Two top-off/pressure relief valves (US Navy approved)

·   Two inflation valves and two check valves (US Navy-approved)

·   Two 230 gram CO2 cylinders (one for bow and one for stern)

·   Canopy material USCG-recommended orange outside, blue inside (anti-nausea)

·   Canopy secured to boat with 12 stainless steel  pad-eyes (permanently mounted on boat gunwale)

·   Three windows (one forward, two on sides)

·   Four SOLAS-approved reflective strips

·   Hole with cover flap for mast when sailing with canopy set

·   Rain catcher and spout with shut off valve

·   Adjustable bow and stern straps to allow access to sea-anchor or tiller

·   USN-approved bellows hand pump.

Bailing Pump $79. Part #PP-BP.  Pumps out storage chamber or cockpit.  Includes:

·   Manual bilge pump, Beckson, 18”(inserts into storage chamber)

·   Access port with gasket (mounted on gunwale).

Bow Bumper $95.  Part #PP-BU.  Protects mother boat from dinghy riding into stern while towing in following seas, and from bumping while moored. Installed. Recommended if towing.  Includes:

·   Coarse weave, white, “canvas” covered foam bumper with sewn ends 52” long installed on bow

·   22 wide head stainless steel screws.

Electric System $495.  Part #PP-ES.  All-around white navigational light is required by USCG for traveling at night. All LED lights in the system. Includes: 

·   Electrical panel with gasket and fuse

·   Accessory socket (powers 12 V. plug-in equipment, and can receive power for charging battery by solar panel or charger)

·   Two toggle switches (one for compass LED and navigation LED light, one for red LED chart reading, interior light)

·   Battery (rechargeable, 12 volt, 2.6 AH, 2.2 lbs, sealed lead acid). Cover and gasket

·   30”, LED navigation light, all-around white, removable and adjustable. This new LED increases battery life five times. (Stores inside access hatch)

·   Perko navigation light base and gasket.

Solar Panel  $115.  Part #PP-SP.  Plugs into electrical panel outlet.  Allows charging battery while on the water. Charges battery in about 6 hours.  Stores in boat or on canopy.  Includes:

·   Four panels (folding)

·   Outlet plug

·   Alligator clips.

Sea Anchor & Rode  $315.  Part #PP-SA.  Rugged, proven design, engineered by Fiorentino Para-Anchor for the Portland Pudgy. Highly recommended for survival use.  Includes:

·   Rugged 30”dia. para-anchor (with patented stainless steel swivel ring shackle)

·   70’ of 3/8” dia. rode and stainless steel attachment clip.

Davit Lifting/Safety Harness Eyes $125.  Part #PP-DS.   For lifting boat or securing safety harness, or for use with hiking straps. Includes:

Four stainless steel eyes with backer plates (on interior side wall).

Boarding Ladder/Fender $99.  Part #PP-MFC.  Multifunction Cylinder functions as a boarding ladder, grab line, fender, and foot support to right boat. Includes:

·   Foam flotation cylinder with Sunbrella cover, which serves as a fender

·       Web boarding ladder, which is rolled around foam cylinder and when pulled serves as ladder

·   Line through cylinder, which secures to boat and serves as a grab line.

Weaver Davits $395.  Part #PP-WD.  A removable, rugged stainless steel, davit system to secure dinghy to boats with swim platforms.  Allows the Pudgy to hinge up out of the water. Includes:

·   Two removable heavy duty eye pins and backer plates for Pudgy

·   Two snap davit heads for swim platform

·   Two stand off arms (not included; price varies with length).

Davit Harness $355.  Part #PP-DH.  Used with double arm type davit system. Highly recommended to support weight of dinghy from the underside.  Secures dinghy horizontally or vertically (to avoid dinghy filling with water in a following sea).  All stainless steel hardware.  Includes:

·   Two lifting bridles (secured to four lifting eyes on Pudgy)

·   One “H” harness for passing under bottom of Pudgy for support

·   Two adjustable spring lines to stabilize dinghy in heavy seas

·   Two connecting straps (secured to far end of davit arm)

·   Two connecting straps with ratchets (secured to elbow of davit arms)

Boat Covers (Three types: Basic, For Davits, For Weaver Davits) All standard boat covers are  light gray, Odyssey III, 6.5 oz/sq yd, coated polyester, with 12”deep skirt (Note: Boat cover is required when using exposure canopy in pre-set mode).  See next page for prices and details. Odyssey custom color, add $45, Sunbrella fabric and color, add $195.

 

Basic Boat Cover $185.  Part #PP-BC.  Protects boat from the elements. Includes:

·   Bungee cord around perimeter of skirt for snug fit

·   Two 1” webbing straps with stainless steel cam buckles that pass under bottom of boat to secure cover

·    Four grommet holes for access to tie-down through-holes in boat.

Boat Cover for Double Arm Davits $275.  Part #PP-BCD. Same as basic boat cover.  Also includes:

·   Two 24” double pull zippers to access davit lifting lines to Portland Pudgy lifting bridles

·   Four 12” double pull zippers to access davit harness spring lines to lifting eye bolts on Pudgy.
